pH Principles
The body's PH balance is the single most important factor in controlling the body's internal environment. The internal environment is the deciding factor of a change into a dis-eased state or a change into a healthy state.
There is a great misunderstanding on pH and it's principles as applied to human function. Many say for simplicity PH means Potential Hydrogen, however P is just a mathematical function of [ -log.] Hydrogen in chemistry is identified as H+.
An indepth discription of what pH actually means:
PH stands for -log [H+]
or
pH is the negative logarithm of the activity of hydrogen ions (ph= -log [H+])
hydrogen ions [H+] verses hydroxyl ions [H-]
H+ is proton and cationic
OH- is electron and anionic
OH- is a reducing agent (gives up electrons, thus reduces the agent it gave the electron to)
H+ is an oxidizing agent (excepts electrons, thus oxidizing the substance it excepted the electron from)
First we need to discuss the pH scale.
So on PH scale: 7 is equal balance of H+/H-
- ->->->Gaining OH- /Therefore Reducing H+ ->->->
- <-<-<-Reducing H+ /Therefore Oxidizing OH- <-<-<-
The above scale is a typical pH scale with 7.0 being neutral. 7.0 is the halfway point on the scale, it has nothing to do with the proper pH range of a substance. There is no exchange of electrons nor protons at a 7ph, therefore equal amounts of energy on both sides with no exchange or creation of energy.
*6.4 is perfect ph for ALL biological life. As seen on the scale, 6.4 would create a proton gradient in need of electrons, thus creating energy/life.
No energy transfer equals no life!
Secondly, why is pH so important?
Enzymes in the body work in different parameters to assimulate minerals. However, all enzymes work perfectly at a 6.4 ph range as shown below.
Saliva pH should be maintained between 6.3 and 6.6. to ensure that the all important iodine mineral is assimulated. Iodine is very important to the health of the thyroid and the liver. Saliva above 6.6, one needs HCL, either PDA or Food Enzymes. Also an acidifying calcium such as Liquid Calcium may be needed. Vinegar can be used in place of HCL by those who do not have a history of yeast conditions or for short periods. pH 6.3 and below would need an alkalizing form of calcium, such as Coral Calcium. In most cases saliva pH change will register within 20-30 minutes.
Urine pH will fluctuate depending on what has been eaten, however with proper alkalizing mineral reserves this number to should stay balanced. Here again 6.4 is perfect! Below 6.4, more alkalizing minerals are needed (Coral Calcium, potassium and sodium) to create friction with the acidic/cationic minerals coming into the system. Above 6.4 and not a vegetarian, more cationic minerals are needed, Green Zone and/or a VitaWave is needed.
*Note: On occation one may have a body chemistry that may seem to react the opposite than the above describes. In such cases please contact me to help you understand what is occuring and what you will need to do.
